Description |
Beginners: |
For those
with little or no knowledge of Spanish whatsoever, Spanish Language
Services tutors begin with a spoken learning plan from day one,
with simple phrases, pronunciation, verbs and the alphabet, only
using a written media for consolidation and your own revision between
lessons. The course for beginners leads perfectly into lower intermediate,
and students are able to progress immediately following their course
or remain for longer to build experience and confidence.
|
| |
Lower
Intermediate: |
This might
be described as a GCSE type level, although not strictly adhering
to any curriculum unless required. Anyone with an understanding
of basic Spanish conversational phrases, vocabulary, the present
tense, pronunciation and the alphabet is eligible for this course.
We speak largely in Spanish, with students expected to apply themselves
to
interaction, using Spanish to ask questions. This Spanish Language
Services course should take you to upper intermediate level upon
completion.
|
| |
Upper
Intermediate: |
For those
with a basic understanding of speech and written work, you will
understand daily newspapers and can follow approximately 80% of
a normal Spanish conversation. You mostly know what you need to
say or write, however your vocabulary and verb tense
knowledge is limited. We will engage in topical
conversation and incorporate structured learning sessions to advance
areas such as verb tense and vocabulary. Some written work included.
|
| |
Advanced: |
Largely conversational,
this course is intended for those who are comfortable in conversation
and intend to improve their knowledge of technical language, verbs
and idioms. Written work is usually provided only on request, however
we always tailor courses to individual needs.
|
| |
Practice
& Maintenance: |
Demand demonstrates
that a number of you are fluent in Spanish and need to stay on top
of news and current affairs, so your language does not become "oxidado".
On this course we will engage in everyday conversation of your choice
with simple, conversational (entirely Spanish) correction and direction.
